Violet Cardigan – Rust

Daisies come up again and again along a warm wall, and here they line up in quiet order: a single cream bloom with an amber eye in each square, on rust the colour of late afternoon. It is a cardigan of real substance, solid crochet that holds its shape, ribbed at the open front and cuffs. Throw it on over a tee and jeans and leave it hanging open, the colour doing the warming. Organic cotton blend, light on the body. Each square is crocheted on its own by Anatolian hands and joined, so the grid carries a gentle irregularity, the way a real border does.
