Sunflower Cropped Cardigan – Rust

Rust is the colour of earth after a long summer, and on it the sunflowers seem turned up to the last of the light. Gold petals circle dark centres, one to a square, and the warm ground makes the whole cardigan glow rather than shine. It is autumn in a garment, without a single leaf. Cropped to the waist, with full sleeves gathered into deep cuffs, it sits well over cream or a white tee and dark jeans. Wooden buttons close the V.
