Sunflower Tote – Beige

Sunflowers keep one habit: they turn to face the light. Here they have been gathered onto a sand-coloured ground, each in its own square, like a field seen from a hill at harvest. The beige keeps them calm; the gold keeps them awake. This is a tote for the long version of an ordinary day: the market, the library, the walk that turns into lunch. The crochet is firm and holds its shape under a real load, and a zip pocket inside keeps keys from wandering. Worked by hand, the squares join into a grid that drifts gently out of true.
