Carrot Cardigan

A small garden, planted across the front. Orange carrots with leafy tops stand off a flecked oatmeal knit, raised so they look pulled from the soil a moment ago, and the joke is told softly enough to wear every day. It has the spirit of a kitchen garden in early spring. The cardigan is roomy, with puffed sleeves and cream buttons, a merino wool blend that is chunky, soft and properly warm. Wear it buttoned over a grey tee with jeans, or open on a weekend market run. Knitted by hand, with every carrot placed a little differently.
