Rose Cardigan – Burgundy

Tonal roses have a quiet power: deep red flowers on a deep red knit, visible less by colour than by shadow. Each rose is coiled by hand from a single strip and stitched on so it stands away from the surface, with a pair of green leaves as the only contrast. The effect is of a garden at dusk, when flowers are felt more than seen. Knitted chunky in a merino wool blend, this cardigan is warm and weighty, with balloon sleeves, a V-neck and wooden buttons. Wear it over a cream tee and pale trousers. Every rose is made separately, so no two sit at quite the same angle.
