Bloom Skirt

Somewhere between a quilt and a flower bed. Raised petals stand proud of each square, worked one by one and stitched into place, so the skirt has a surface you want to touch. The colours sit in quiet contradiction, grey on red, mint on pink, orange on cream, and a butter-yellow framework gathers them into order, ending in a soft scalloped hem.
