Lemonade Jumper

Sunlight in a glass is the idea. Pale butter yellow, worked loose enough to see straight through, so the jumper reads as colour and air more than cloth. It is the thing you pull on when the day cannot decide: over a vest at breakfast, over a slip at dusk, with sleeves long enough to push up and down as the temperature changes. The neck sits wide across the shoulders, the sleeves end in ribbed cuffs, and the body falls relaxed to the hip. Made by hand, row by row, by women artisans, with the small irregularities only a hand leaves.
