Marguerite T-Shirt

Three daisies in a row across the chest, white petals around sunny centres, like the first flowers to open on a verge in May. Below them there is nothing but white cotton, and that emptiness is the picture's sky. Each daisy is crocheted and stitched on so it stands slightly off the surface. At the cuffs and hem, a green shell-edged trim scallops along the borders, the stem colour you would expect beneath flowers like these. This tee is easy over jeans, linen trousers or a denim skirt. Made by women artisans, with each daisy unfurling as it pleases.
