Strawberry Bucket Hat

Summer has a shape, and it might be this one. A deep red crown flecked with white seeds, a green stem and leaves at the peak, and a brim that flares into a thick ruffle, as full as the fruit itself. It is a joke told well, full of affection and not at all shy: the hat for a fruit market, a garden party, a beach with children.
