Rainbow Bloom Cropped Cardigan

Like a rainbow seen through moving water, the stripes of this cropped cardigan ripple from red through to violet and pink, edged all round in scalloped orange. Then the sleeves change the subject: rows of squares, each with a plump flower on its own contrasting ground, like a garden planted along each arm. It is a happy, sunlit thing, short and open, made to go over a slip dress or a tee on a warm afternoon. Crocheted in an organic cotton blend, it is loose, light and lets the air move through. Every stripe and flower is worked by hand, so each one carries small differences.
