Sage Carnival Vest

A carnival, held together by a quiet sage green. Inside the border every square goes its own way, a scarlet sunburst, a purple centre, turquoise and orange crowding in beside them, all the noise and colour of a street festival. Then the green arrives, calm and even, and seams the whole crowd together. A striped band along the hem keeps the music going. Throw the vest over a white tee with jeans, open or buttoned. The crochet is dense and springy, with a comfortable weight. Worked by hand, a square at a time, and the joins keep the slight drift of the hand.
