Tulip Cardigan – Cream & Pink

Eight tulips stand up out of a plain cream field, two to each front, two to each sleeve, as if planted in careful pairs. Every pink bud is worked on its own and set on a dark green stem with long leaves, so the flowers rise off the knit rather than sit in it. The back is left completely bare, a fallow field behind the garden. This cardigan wants a green or black top and straight jeans. The knit is smooth and warm, a merino wool blend, finished with honey-coloured buttons. Each tulip is stitched on by hand and stands at an angle of its own.
