Froggy Vest

Two frogs peer up from lilac pockets, grinning as if they know something you do not. The rest is soft butter yellow, the colour of early sun on a pond, with a green scalloped edge that runs the whole way round like reeds at the water's line. Instead of buttons, two little yarn ties, easy to leave loose. This vest is for good moods: over a striped long sleeve, with cords and trainers, on a Saturday with no plans at all. The close crochet is light and breathes. It is worked by hand, so each frog comes out with its own smile.
