Flower Crop Top

Dozens of little flowers in coral, purple, lilac, orange and green, gathered so thickly at the centre that they seem to have grown there, then thinning toward the shoulders like a meadow at its edges. Each one is crocheted separately by hand, five or six petals apiece, and set in place, so the surface rises in small reliefs that catch the light. It is a top that needs nothing else to say: jeans, bare arms, a warm afternoon. Every flower is placed by hand, and the arrangement blooms a little differently each time.
