Big Berry Cardigan

Some pieces reward a second look. From across a room this cardigan is soft pink and nothing more; come closer and the berries appear, red and round with small green caps, as though they had ripened on the wool overnight. There is a little mischief in that. The chunky knit is deep and weighty, a merino wool blend that holds warmth on a cold morning, buttoned up over a white shirt or left open over a tee. Wooden buttons keep it grounded. It is knitted by hand, and each berry is crocheted and applied one at a time, so they scatter a little differently on every one.
