Balaclava – Teal & Mustard

Behind a plain front door, a painted interior: muted teal and pale grey outside, blush pink and mustard tucked within. At the very centre of each square a small navy point anchors it, a full stop at the end of a sentence. Because the tones are quiet, the stitches themselves come forward, the clusters, the turned corners, the gentle ridges. Wear this balaclava with stone, navy or a bottle-green coat. The hood runs deep over the neck to keep the throat warm, opens at the face and has no fastenings. Each square is crocheted alone and joined by hand.
