Flower Jumper

Every square is its own small painting. Eight-petal flowers sit one to a square, each on its own ground, pink on blue, orange on green, turquoise on deep red, so the eye travels across the jumper and never finds a repeat. The petals stand slightly proud of the background, which gives the whole piece a quiet relief, like embroidery seen in low light. A cream scalloped edge frames the hem and cuffs.
