Balaclava – Brown & Green

Walk into an old wood in late autumn and these are the colours underfoot: chocolate earth, moss green, a scatter of caramel and butter-yellow leaves. Each square opens from that light centre into forest green, all of it held by deep brown, with a pale cream line running the face and hem like frost on a path. This balaclava belongs to cold walks and colder platforms. Pull it up against the wind, or wear it open at the face once you warm through. The cotton blend breathes as you move. Crocheted square by square, and each one lands a little its own way.
